Joe's All Stars - Hey Jude

“…the people would listen to the Beatles original and then dance to the reggae version" Joe Mansano.

And here it is the Reggae version, by the Joe's All Stars a.k.a. Rico & The Rudies. This was one of the first releases on the Joe label, created by Trojan Records to allow Mansano to produce his own material (tahnks for that!!) The first series of the label are the green ones and shared the matrix reference with Duke (DU). Then, Trojan decided to give Joe its matrix and a new design came with it.

As we said before, The Joe´s All Stars were the same studio band than The Rudies, with Rico Rodriguez playing trombone, and under both names they recorded some of the best Reggae instrumentals, and a few DJ cuts with the voice of Hopeton Reid, who also used names such as Joe the Boss, Pama Dice, and Dice the Boss.

Y aquí tenemos la versión Reggae, de Joe´s All Stars, también conocidos como Rico & The Rudies. Ésta es uno de los primeros singles del sello Joe, creado por Trojan Records para dejar vía libre a las producciones de Mansano. Las primeras series del sello son las que tienen la galleta de color verde y el número de matriz compartido con Duke (DU). Más tarde, Trojan decide darle a Joe su propio número, a la vez que un nuevo diseño aparece en la galleta.

Como se menciona más arriba, The Joés All Stars eran la misma banda de estudio que los Rudies, con Rico Rodríguez al trombón, y bajo ambos nombres grabaron algunos de los mejores instrumentales de Reggae, y unos cuantos temas con la voz de un dj por encima, cuyo nombre era Hopeton Reid, también conocido como Joe The Boss, Pama dice o Dice The Boss.
